The first annual Womanfest Trelawny ‘09 took place in Jamaica from September 11, 2009 to September 13, 2009!
Three Days of Education, Empowerment and Education began with the Official Jamaican Premiere of 'Sankofa' hosted by Mutabaruka and Hasinatu Camara, and concluded with an Awards Ceremony & Talent Showcase. Performances by the adults and youth beautifully offset the presentation of the first Trelawny Woman Award to Louise E. Reid.
Right now, we are sorting through the most incredible pictures, videos and heartfelt memories. It will be our greatest joy to share this phenomenal event ! We know that you lose your heart to Trelawny Parish, just as we have done! In the meantime, here are a few memories!
